“My husband and I fell in love with Running Horse Farm as soon as we walked in. Megan and her family have done an amazing job setting up a very special event location in the heart of wine country. We were able to take photos at a local winery and then still have enough time to take more pictures around their beautifully manicured venue. Our guests are still complimenting our choice of reception location. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any upcoming event, especially a wedding!”

“We had such an amazing wedding in this gorgeous space. All of our guests were so impressed by the beautiful venue and area. Could not recommend a place more!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions?

Why is Running Horse Farm the most popular wedding and event venue in Ohio?

We host weddings, reunions, corporate events, private parties, and smaller, intimate gatherings. Our restored 1940s dairy barn and scenic grounds offer a versatile backdrop for a wide range of events.

Where is Running Horse Farm located, and how do I get there?

Running Horse Farm is located in Geneva, Ashtabula County, Ohio. Our address is 389 Stoltz Rd, Geneva, OH 44041. We’re nestled in Ohio Wine Country, making us centrally accessible for guests traveling from Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas.

What is included in your wedding/event packages?

All of our packages include tables, chairs, ceremony benches, an assortment of decor and furniture, heating & air conditioning, modern restrooms, sound system & projector, bridal room, and decorating services. We also offer a cocktail hour patio, a party porch, and access to our scenic farmland and vineyard grounds.

Is Running Horse Farm wheelchair accessible / ADA compliant?

Yes. The entire barn is wheelchair accessible, and our venue is designed to accommodate guests with mobility needs.

How far in advance should we book our date?

We recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 12–18 months in advance, to secure a spot during peak wedding season. For off-peak dates, six to nine months’ notice may suffice. (You can always contact us to check date availability.)

Do you provide in-house catering, or can we bring our own caterer?

We do not exclusively provide in-house catering, but we offer a list of preferred vendors, including caterers, bakers, florists, and more, to make planning easier. You may also work with your own trusted vendors (upon approval) to customize your menu.

Are there noise or curfew restrictions?

Yes — to respect neighbors and local ordinances, we impose a noise curfew (for example, music must end by a certain time) and follow local regulations. Details about start and end times, as well as allowed sound levels, will be provided in the contract.

Can we have both the ceremony and the reception onsite?

Absolutely. Our venue is equipped for both the wedding ceremony and reception in one location — providing convenience, saving on transportation logistics, and maximizing your time with guests.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

$500 deposit is refundable up to a year before the wedding. $500 is non-refundable if cancellation occurs less than a year in advance, and any additional monies paid are refundable only if your date is re-booked. For example, deposits are non-refundable if cancelled less than 6 months before the event. In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe weather or public health restrictions), we offer the option to reschedule within a defined timeframe.

How do we reserve a date or request a tour?

To reserve your date, contact us at (440) 415-3552 or via email at runninghorsefarmohio@gmail.com. We’d be happy to schedule an appointment for an in-person or virtual tour so you can experience the venue firsthand.
